Mandala Number 4

by Lynne
(Indiana)

This is the fourth mandala I've done now...I am finding it almost "soothing" (can't think of a better word) to create these images. The repetition is a bit hypnotic and the format lets you be creative but keeps you in bounds. This particular one was created first with an extra-fine tip marker and then I used gel ink pens to color in the details where I wanted. It is a bit more "open" than the other designs I've done but I like the extra white space. Hope you do too!

Lovely lines!

Another beauty, Lynne! I really like your use of white space. It makes the delicacy of the lines stand out even more.

This one definitely feels soothing!

I know what you mean about the hypnotic effect of creating mandalas. I find that it's a great way to calm down a busy mind!

Thank you for sharing your awesome mandala designs!

Mandalas are so relaxing and fun to do, and you sure did a good job. I am compelled to draw these circular designs that could go on forever. Namaste
